Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the SlothUp mobile app provided by Georg Reinthaler (“SlothUp”, “we”, or “us”).
1. App Store licence
Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies to SlothUp when downloaded from the App Store. Mandatory law and applicable Apple terms prevail in case of conflict.
2. Purpose of SlothUp
SlothUp helps users build movement habits through activity records, goals, guided sessions, reminders, playful rewards, and an optional Screen Time feature.
SlothUp is not a medical device and does not replace medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Stop exercising if you experience pain, dizziness, or discomfort and seek professional advice if you have health concerns.
3. Responsible use
- You are responsible for adapting exercises to your health, fitness, and surroundings.
- Minors may use SlothUp only where permitted by local law and with any required consent from a parent or guardian.
- You must not misuse the app, circumvent security, reverse engineer it, or infringe third-party rights except where expressly permitted by law.
4. Local data and no account
SlothUp does not require an account. Much of its data is stored only on your device and may be permanently lost if the device or app is lost, reset, or deleted. We do not promise cross-device backup or restoration of local progress.
5. Screen Time feature
App Shield uses Apple Screen Time APIs. Availability and operation depend on your device, iOS version, Apple entitlements, and system settings. It is a self-management aid and not guaranteed tamper-proof access control.
Your selected apps and categories are represented by Apple-protected Family Controls tokens and remain on your device. SlothUp cannot read the content you view in other apps or a readable history of your app usage. Limited feature-status and selection-count analytics are described in the Privacy Policy.
6. SlothUp Plus
SlothUp includes free functionality. SlothUp Plus may unlock additional guided sessions, multiple Screen Time selections, movement-history editing, and other Plus features shown in the app. Features may reasonably evolve without materially removing paid service during a current subscription period.
7. Auto-renewable subscriptions
- SlothUp Plus is offered as a monthly or annual subscription. Price, term, and any free trial are shown in Apple's purchase dialog before confirmation.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account on confirmation.
- The subscription renews for the selected term unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Apple may charge the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account settings. Deleting SlothUp does not cancel it.
- Unless cancelled in time, a free trial converts to the selected paid subscription. Eligibility and duration are those shown by Apple.
8. Restoring purchases and refunds
Use “Restore Purchases” in SlothUp to restore eligible purchases. Apple handles billing, cancellation, and refunds under its terms. Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or identical availability on every device. Maintenance, security, Apple platform changes, or legal requirements may require changes or temporary limitations.
10. Intellectual property
SlothUp and its original design, text, illustrations, animations, audio, and software are legally protected and belong to us or the respective licensors. Subject to these Terms and Apple's Standard EULA, you receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use SlothUp for personal, non-commercial purposes. Third-party components remain subject to their respective licence terms.
11. Liability
Liability is governed by applicable statutory law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury, product liability, or mandatory consumer rights. If loss is caused or increased by using SlothUp contrary to its intended purpose or by disregarding reasonable safety instructions, the user's contributory responsibility may be taken into account to the extent permitted by law.
12. Termination
You may stop using and delete SlothUp at any time. You must separately cancel an active subscription through Apple. Your right to use SlothUp is subject to these Terms, Apple's Standard EULA, and applicable law.
13. Governing law and changes
Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, without depriving you of mandatory consumer protection in your country of habitual residence. Nothing in these Terms limits the courts or remedies available to consumers under mandatory law.
We may update these Terms prospectively when reasonably necessary because of changes to SlothUp, applicable law, Apple platform requirements, or security needs. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes in the app or on this page before they take effect where practicable. A change that materially disadvantages an existing paid subscription will apply only with consent or to a future subscription period unless applicable law permits otherwise.
